Manuela Zamora, M.D
Clinical neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine
Dr. Manuela Zamora was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in the Department of Psychiatry within Dr Goldstein's Lab.
Dr. Zamora received an M.D. degree from Universidad de la Sabana in Bogota, Colombia. There, she participated in a study to collect data from over 2000 patients with Cleft lip and/or palate phenotype to build an epidemiologic framework of this condition in Colombia. Before joining our Lab, Dr. Zamora collaborated with Dr. Tanveer Padder, a leading Psychiatrist and Director of the T.I.M.E Mental Health Clinic in Baltimore, Maryland, on a controlled research study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel treatment in patients with Major depressive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Dr. Zamora’s professional interests focus on non-invasive neuromodulation therapies to manage psychiatric conditions and associated comorbidities. She was working on a clinical project investigating the neuromodulator effect of respiratory-gated Transcutaneous auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation (taVNS) in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis with Dr Ronald Garcia.
Currently, Dr Zamora is resident in Family Medicine at the PrimeWest Consortium within the San Dimas Community Hospital (San Dimas, California).
